What it Protects
In an effort to perform our duties, we sometimes marginalize the potential threats to ourselves as individuals. Threats can be realized from seen and unforeseen circumstances...expected or unexpected. For persons working in policing, corrections, security, tactical or para-medical, these threats are more profound and can come from hidden weapons or a human bite. Many times we leave critical areas of the wrist and forearm exposed. The BODYARMOUR® shirt is intended to minimize the risk and allow the individual to perform with more confidence when peak performance is required.
As described in the attached diagram, the wrist and forearm have a plethora of muscles, tendons and major arteries. A laceration to any one of these can result in a traumatic injury. The BODYARMOUR® shirt provides enhanced protection around the circumference of the wrist (midway up to the elbow) and up the length of the inside of the forearm.
