August 2011 - Wrist lacerations can be severe, as evidenced in this recent injury sustained by a minor hockey player. The laceration required 4 stitches, but the young man will be back on the ice with his teammates as soon as he is ready .

Phaneuf to Miss Four to Six Weeks

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that defenceman Dion Phaneuf will be out of the lineup for approximately four to six weeks. Phaneuf sustained a significant leg laceration during the second period of last night’s game against Ottawa. Successful surgery was performed on his leg last evening.
